KleenKut™ Cut-Off Mechanism for BFS Machines

Weiler Engineering, Inc. announces a new innovation in Blow/Fill/Seal Technology. Designed to dramatically reduce non-viable particulate generation in the parison extrusion zone, the KleenKut is a new patented method for cutting the molten parisons during the blow/fill/seal process. The cut-off is accomplished at ambient temperature, eliminating the smoke particles typically generated from a hot knife. Extended studies have proven the benefit from elimination of particle generation at the potential source of contamination. The KleenKut offers the additional benefit of an improved measure of safety over conventional cut-off techniques. Currently available for low density polyethylene resin, the KleenKut is available as an optional accessory on new Asep-Tech® BFS machines purchased from Weiler Engineering or it can be supplied with a retrofit kit for existing machines.
